Tell us about your background and role at WMG.

I strive to be a utility player. I like to think both my knowledge and experience allows WMG to pursue more diverse work. At WMG, I’ve held both supervisory and superintendent roles, and most recently moved into my current environmental role. In this position, I ensure all parties involved in projects obey laws and regulations that govern issues about the environment.

What certificates and degrees have you earned that help you perform and lead?

I’m both a California Licensed General Contractor (CSLB), and I’ve earned my Safety Trained Supervisor Construction (STSC) certification, which is awarded to individuals whose tasks are meant to prevent harm to people in the workplace. I earned my AS in Construction Management at Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa, California.

What’s been the most rewarding part of your job?

It’s incredibly fulfilling when we are awarded new work with previous clients.

What did you want to be when you grew up?

As a child, I wanted to be an airline pilot when I grew up. Even as an adult, I’m still fascinated by all things aviation, and I love flying.

Share a lesson you’ve learned during your time with WMG.

Balancing “airport work” with a long commute and a healthy family life can be a struggle, but it’s not impossible. I’ve learned that the key is to manage your time wisely.

What’s the best part of WMG’s culture?

The best part of the culture is the care and support WMG provides to all employees. I genuinely feel valued and cared for. While it’s not tangible, it’s certainly something all team members feel working at WMG.

What’s your favorite travel destination?

VEGAS, BABY! After all these years, I still love my Vegas trips with my wife and daughters. We have truly never had a bad time and love to go any season of the year.
